I spent ten years not celebrating my birthday because I lost a brother and he happened to be buried on my birthday. Took me a long time to get over that, but this year, I am celebrating being on this wonderful earth to see one more birthday.

ReplyDeleteI love my Birthday, Because its Nov 1st and I celebrate it all month.. that started when my kids grew up because its not always easy to get everyone together so I may see one family one time and the next weekend the next and sometimes they come in groups so we eat cake and party all month long. I am keeping an Ice cream cake in the freezer this year for it. LOL We all have Birthdays until Jan 1 so we see alot of each other. Its a blast but can be exhausting.

Mine tends to be forgotten, which is disappointing, and Mother's Day follows just a few days later, also forgotten. I call it my week to be ignored. ReplyDeleteI don't do much for my birthday. The only thing we do is go out to eat, as I'm not cooking for my birthday. But this year it snowed on my b-day in April and then my son got sick at the restaurant... hopefully next year will be better. :)
