Mama said sew finish...

This weekend I've been cleaning up and seeing what needs to be completed on the many projects I have going in my sewing room.

This was a quick finish, just needed to finish quilting and bind it.
You can previous post here and here on this quilt.

Finished - I made this from one Jelly Roll of Mama Said Sew from Sweetwater
 and 2 yards Kona Snow.
48" x 60"
The idea for the quilt came from Modas Bakeshop -

I practice some of the quilting techniques from Angela Walters book.
This is a great book I highly recommend it!

Back - for the back I purchased a few additional half yards.

Be kind....

"Maybe Christmas,"
he thought,
"doesn't come from a store.
Maybe Christmas…
perhaps…
means a little bit more."

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Christmas Tree Skirt..

We got our tree last weekend and finally got around to decorating yesterday.  I realized that I have never taken a photo of the christmas tree skirt that I made many years ago.  I made log cabin blocks, and appliqu├ęd poinsettia's.

Enjoy your day,
Lynn

Just smile....
it looks good on you!

I still find each day too short for all the
thoughts I want to think,
All the walks I want to take,
All the books I want to read,
and all the friends I want to see.

(And I need to add all the quilts I want to make! )
