Life goes on..

Wow so much to share!  My daughter and niece are due two days apart, the first week of July.  I held a baby shower, for my daughter a couple of weekends ago.  Here's a photo of my daughter and niece, aren't they cute.

Here's the quilt I made for my daughter.
Gotta love the tumbler quilts, they're quick and fun to make!

This is my first ever bag I've made. It was super easy, made it in about 2 hours.
I found the pattern on Moda Bakeshop, Hushabye Tote Bag.

My niece's little boy couldn't wait and arrived ahead of schedule this past Wednesday.
Everyone is healthy and happy, she had a totally natural birth, just as she planned.

My twin daughters graduated from 8th grade, they had a graduation ceremony and then a dance sponsored by the parents.  I chaperoned the dance and the kids had a great time.  It was a very late night.  They both got an honors award for being on the honor role all three years of middle school!  My babies are Freshman!

I finished my blocks for Stash Bee Hive #4 and #2.
They both wanted them left untrimmed.

I finally got sick of the fact that all my clothes were too tight and decided to start doing something about it.  My Chiropractor works with a supplement company called Standard Process.  After talking to him I realized that I use to be super diligent about the food I put in my body and then I started a new job and on the go all the time and found myself eating more processed foods.

So I simply started by choosing Food over Product.  Asking myself is this food or is this product, choosing food as close to it's natural state as possible.

I use Fitness Pal to help me keep track my progress.  In this process I've lost 10 pounds.  I also started adding in physical activity, I sit at a desk most days.  So I started by walking, I needed to start slow due to the fact I had back surgery last August.  I've slowly been adding back in yoga and weight training. I feel so much better!  It sure is nice to have clothes that aren't too tight!

The other good news is I went for my physical and my blood pressure had been hypertension, and this time it was in the normal range!!!

Have a wonderful day,

Thankful!
